Toxic Baby Formula

A recent news article reported that a Toxic Baby Formula Lawyer had settled a personal injury case with an attorney from the New York State Department of Health. The attorney, Frank Bruner had been fighting the formula company's regulations on adding certain dangerous chemicals to their baby formula. According to the attorney the New York State Department of Health "reached a settlement with a toxin-free baby formula lawyer, Frank Bruner, who has represented infants with acute allergic reactions to Dioxins (derived from many common plastic cosmetic ingredients), cysts, lead, zinc and a myriad of other chemicals." The news article goes on to say "Ms. Bruner was not happy about the outcome but accepted the settlement" and does not plan to file a lawsuit. However, according to the attorney in an e-mail to me the company will be required to "prefer not to use materials with a significant risk of causing harm or death."

A Toxic Baby Formula Lawyer who also represents babies with special health needs would certainly agree that the current baby formula industry "lacks safety standards." In fact, just recently a group of attorneys sent a letter to the U.S Food and Drug Administration (FDA) stating that the current formula law is so inadequate they could not "establish that manufacturers take all reasonable steps to ensure the public is not exposed to harmful substances." The FDA is currently examining the Toxic Substances Control Act as part of the Toxic Substances Control Act Review for 2021.

There is good news, however, regarding the dangers of using tap water to make baby formula. Recent studies have demonstrated that using only city water to make baby formula can be just as hazardous as drinking it. In addition to this the FDA has recognized the importance of the ingredients used in baby formula and is requiring that manufacturers include "The Notice" statement on the labels of their products. The notice states that the product contains one or more ingredients that "are likely to cause adverse health effects", if ingested.

This is the first time that the FDA has warned manufacturers about using tap-water to make infant formula. This is especially noteworthy because infants have been regularly fed with formula made from recycled pharmaceuticals and pharmaceutical drugs since prior to the passage of the Toxic Substances Control Act. As a result, there are numerous compounds that have been identified as probable human carcinogens, particularly as a result of the increased use of antibiotics. Although the manufacturers are required to list the presence of these chemicals on the labels, the FDA cautions that this is not enough - if they are present they must be identified on a consistent basis. Only when it is determined that infants have been exposed to a particular hazard do the manufacturers have to notify the FDA.

In conclusion, it is important to note that infants who are introduced to tap-water as part of their daily routine receive significantly greater risk of developing gastrointestinal illnesses, allergies, chronic lung diseases and hyperactivity/impulsivity. In addition, many infants who have been diagnosed with such conditions have recovered completely from consumption of formula based on recycled pharmaceuticals. If you or your baby is currently using this product, you should immediately change to another brand. Your health is not an option. It is a life.

Note also that it is important to make certain that the source from which the food item was procured is safe. Unfortunately, that is often not the case. There are many countries in which the environment is seriously polluted; consequently, babies coming from these locations may become severely ill, including possibly dying. You owe it to yourself and your child to make a conscientious effort to determine the source of whatever the impurities may be.
